Donald Brothers History
With a history going back to 1869 and humble beginnings in the traditional
Jute and Flax trades in Dundee, Scotland, Donald
Brothers continue to excel in the design and manufacture of some
of the world's finest furnishing fabrics.
They present their new innovative creations
constantly at prestigious exhibitions throughout Europe and the
UK and supply the world's top residential wholesalers on
a very exclusive basis. This is nothing new as Donald Brothers
have been exporting in this manner, worldwide since the
early 1900's.
Donald Brothers had to adapt their production capabilities
as they worked their way through two world wars. They accepted the
Royal Warrant in 1934 and won many Design Council awards in London
thereafter.
Donald Brothers have always positioned themselves
through out history at a level in the contract market that achieves
specification for the world's top Hotel Groups,
Cruise Lines, Auditoriums, Furniture
manufacturers and high-end office interior projects.
This continues today with their newly launched 'cool wool'
contract collection where they aspire to integrate design, thought
and excellence to supply the industry with beautiful, comfortable,
elegant fabrics which do not compromise on quality or performance.
Donald Brothers are the daring pioneers
of the finest furnishing fabrics, their quality inspirations coming
from the arts and creative culture backed by their traditional heritage.
